"Smart and strong-willed, Keith struggled to find who he was and who he wanted to be."

He lacked direction, avoided thinking about his future, and was only partly content to ride the waves life billowed upon him. To top it off, he suffered from generational depression.  Maybe you can relate.

In a post Covid economy, 54% of young people ages 18-24 face their career future with uncertainty or fear.

And more than 1 in 4 young adults say they’re worried about finding a job due to their mental health.

Maybe you’re worried about making a life for yourself and having a stable career.

Maybe you just want to feel normal and know that you’ll be able to handle whatever comes your way.

Near rock bottom Keith discovered AdAgrA and a community of faithful friends and mentors.

They nurtured his interest in agriculture, trades, and entrepreneurship, and they helped him find a new purpose in life.

Seeing stories like this, an AdAgrA board member rallied a group of young people to start something that would focus on supporting and encouraging other young people like themselves.

That spark lit the AdAgrA FLAME.

And the fire was started 

In May 2022, a team ofdedicated young people came together under the guidance of Gabriel Mcclover, to develop a initiative that they had never heard of before.

An a initiative that teaches young people the Biblical principles of being a successful entrepreneur in any field - not just agriculture. 

They saw a gap in programming to help young people achieve a higher calling in their spiritual, occupational, physical, and mental aspirations. After much prayer and discussion they decided to focus on 4 main objectives:

1. Spiritual & Mental wellness 

2. Entrepunership & Education 

3. Missions

4. Agriculture 

 A few weeks later FLAME was born - Fueling Life through Agriculture, Mission, and Education.

Since then God has moved in ways as only He can, assembling the team, providing where we are lacking and opening doors that were shut.

We are so excited for our first event the 2023 AdAgrA Conference themed "Digging Deeper" in Glen Rose, TX January 17-21st.  Join us in the youth and young adult track entitled “The Heavenly Entrepreneur”; 

During our  sessions, we’ll learn and have discussions on Personal Development, Mental Health, Teamwork, Bible Study, Prayer, Entrepreneurship, and Agriculture/Trades.  We cannot wait to see all the amazing things God will do there for us and through us!

Returning to Our Roots

AdAgrA (Adventist Agricultural Association) was founded by a group of Adventist believers who saw the beauty and usefulness of returning to an agrarian lifestyle.They made it their mission to encourage and support all seeking to understand and follow God’s plan for agriculture through networking, mentoring, and information sharing.  Over the years their annual conference has been supported by many farms, businesses, and ministries across the country and the world. And have touched the lives of many people.
